Open Studio
I began Open Studio as a way to introduce studio-based art practices to Thomas University and the community at large. During my office hours I was available to give feedback on art projects, introduce techniques and collaborate with students, faculty or staff. As of fall of 2011, Open Studio is officially become part of ACTU, Thomas University's cultural outreach program.

Street Art-inspired Painting
A student who was interested in graffiti and street art created this. We discussed the history of public art, painting on walls and the politics of tagging.
Decorative Paintings
This group of small canvases was painted cooperatively by a colleague and me for her daughter's room. Each member of her family became an owl character. The grouping was hung in her eldest daughter's bedroom.
Stained Glass Window
This represents the first art piece created during Open Studio. It is a window the Dr. Drew Miller (Professor of Biology)) and I collaborated on. He was interested in exploring design techniques and I was intrigued by the process of stained glass window craft. There are plans to continue working together in the future.
Stained Glass Collage
This is the second collaborative project I completed with Dr. Miller. It is a rather unorthodox method of layering glass into a collage. The composition is both decorative and potentially functional.
Set Design
This was fabricated for a student's stop motion animated film. I helped construct and paint the set to his specifications.
